At EnigmaWorx, we bring your wildest fantasies to life with our exclusive Augmented Reality experiences; and this one pits you against other treasure hunters and the clock, travelling around the historic parts of Lubbock solving puzzles and riddles in order to be the first to locate Captain Kidd’s hidden treasure! Dive into a world of intrigue and excitement perfect for families and other small groups!
Group Experience
Bring your group of 2-8 treasure hunters to match wits with other groups and families to solve the mystery of where Captain Kidd hid his huge treasure. Each scheduled date can accommodate up to 7 groups of 2-8 players each. This is a great activity for families with children as young as 8 years old, as well as groups of adventurers of any age who want to be lost in the world of pirates!
Interactive Fun
Engage with other treasure hunters as you match wits and compete to solve riddles and get to Captain Kidd’s treasure first. Dress up and act like pirate characters, as you race against the clock, and each other, to piece together the treasure map and the clues in time to find the treasure and win prizes. The interactive puzzles seen through the AR on our iPad enhance the experience.

The cost of the event is just $96 per group for 2-8 players. If you bring a full group, that comes out to only $12.00 per person! Please make your reservation online in advance here to ensure you have a space, since they are limited.
You can dress in pirate costumes if you like, and your group will need to have a car to get around to the various locations that are part of the hunt.
Your group will be issued an iPad with the Treasure Hunters AR software loaded and an action pack of documents and tools needed to complete the adventure. All materials and equipment must be returned at the end of the game, undamaged and in useable condition for the next event.
The event starts at 2:00pm and runs about 2.5 hours. We start together at EnigmaWorx for debriefing and equipment check-out, and then groups use the clues to make their way around the historic parts of Lubbock to track Captain Kidd’s travels and solve puzzles that lead to the treasure. Once you find the treasure, make your way back to EnigmaWorx to report your find and take some cool pictures with the treasure – and collect your prizes, if your group is successful!
Our Treasure Hunter LIVE AR event is more than just a fun afternoon; it’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in a world of suspense and intrigue. With a commitment to providing high-quality entertainment, we ensure the event is meticulously crafted to deliver an unforgettable experience. We also award PRIZES!
Prizes are awarded for the the following:
- TOP PRIZE goes to the group who solves all the puzzles and finds the treasure FIRST
- COMPLETION PRIZES are awarded to each group that finds the treasure
- BEST COSTUME PRIZE goes to the individual player who is voted to have the best pirate costume for the event
